The ECHO Explorers Bingo, a fun and interactive activity for young adventurers, is a highlight of the 2025 ECHO Walking Festival. This exciting challenge encourages kids to explore three beautiful locations in the Western Bay of Plenty:
Waihī Beach - Reservoir Loop and the base of the Trig Track
Katikati - Aongatete Short Loop Track
Te Puke - Ōtanewainuku.
The bingo sheet, which features various nature-themed tasks, can be downloaded starting April 1st, 2025, or participants can grab a hard copy from one of the Western Bay of Plenty District Council libraries or service centres.
Once children complete their ECHO Explorers mission by ticking off the activities on their bingo sheet, they can head to one of the libraries to pick up their well-deserved “Discover Your District” medal.
This initiative aims to foster a love for the outdoors while introducing little ones to the stunning natural beauty of the region. Whether it’s spotting wildlife, learning about local plants, or completing fun nature-based challenges, the ECHO Explorers Bingo promises a rewarding and educational experience for all ages.
