Aongatete Short Loop Track and Nature Trail Loop Includes swimming hole

At the 5 way junction, turn left, following the sign that indicates the Short and Long loops. After 15 minutes you will turn left for the short loop. The track climbs up over a saddle and down to rejoin the long loop. Turning left, you will follow the track and orange markers, down the hill past the Forest Restoration base and back to the car park. From here, you will follow the Nature Trail signs and come across numerous interpretive boards that describe some of the ecology of the area and a number of labelled trees. You will be guided to a swimming hole for a snack and a dip if you so please.
Must bring: Good sturdy walking shoes, snacks, water, towel if you are taking a quick dip in the swimming hole
You MUST register prior to any walk/cycle/kayak/boat trip.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants are responsible for their own safety equipment, food, water, clothing and vehicles.
The Festival is a non-profit event which relies heavily on volunteers, and donations to help pay for the organisation and promotion of the month-long event.
