Tuahu Track

Meet at the end of Hot Springs Road, Katikati. (off SH2). Park up and jump on our shuttle, for a 1 hour 15 minute drive over to Te Aroha entrance to Tuahu Track. The walking track follows along the Waihou Valley Pine Forest, weaving up the steep challenging western side to the North South Track, up to the summit, where there are beautiful views of both Eastern and Western sides. We cross the Te Rereatukahia stream, before descending back down the eastern side of the Kaimais, past mature kauri trees and back to Hot Springs Road (where we started).
After the walk, the Sapphire Springs Hot Pools are close for those who are inclined to want to have a soak.
Restrictions: 8 seats available (Note: 11 seats in the Van and 3 taken by guides). Can only proceed with a full 8 seats filled and if not filled, we reimburse the expense to registered walkers).
